Afsluitdijk reinforcement completed as Den Oever pumping station is commissioned

On 1 October 2026 Dutch infrastructure minister Vincent Karremans commissioned the new pumping station and discharge sluices at Den Oever, completing the reinforcement and modernisation of the Afsluitdijk.
