Terms
The terms, in plain language
A summary, not the contract. The contract is agreed per assignment and written to fit the client — with larger clients, normally on their own framework agreement. Where a signed agreement differs from this page, that agreement applies.

This page is a summary. It is not the contract and it is not legal advice. The contract is agreed per assignment and is written to fit the client: larger clients normally contract on their own framework agreement or purchase conditions, and we work on their paper. Where a signed agreement differs from this page, that agreement applies. We publish this summary so that you know how we work before anyone sends a PDF.
Parties: YRproject B.V., KvK 97813974, the Netherlands; the client; the professional.
1. The rate belongs to the professional
The professional names an hourly or daily rate. The professional receives that rate in full for every approved hour. YRproject deducts nothing from it.
2. The fee is paid by the client, on top
| Situation | Fee on top of the rate |
|---|---|
| Hours 1 to 500 on the project | 20% |
| Hours 501 to 1,500 | 15% |
| Hours above 1,500 | 12% |
| Assignment shorter than three months, or an executive profile | 20% flat, no taper |
The scale is marginal: each percentage applies only to the hours inside its band. Hours are counted per professional, per project. One day is 8 hours.
Example: €140 per hour × 1,200 hours. Fee = 500 × €28 + 700 × €21 = €28,700. The client pays €196,700, on average €163.92 per hour. The professional receives €168,000. All examples.
3. When the professional brings the client
The client pays the same scale. The professional receives the rate plus 5%, for as long as the project runs. The 5% is paid out of YRproject's fee.
4. Introductions: 5% over the hours of others
A professional who introduces an organisation where YRproject later places other professionals receives 5% over those professionals' hours, for 24 months from the first invoiced hour, also after the introducer's own project has ended.
- Paid out of YRproject's fee. The client pays the normal scale; the other professionals keep their full rate.
- A percentage of hours worked, not a fixed amount. No hours, no payment.
- One introduction per client. The first registration counts.
5. Work is done in projects
Each assignment is a project with a described result: named deliverables, dates, and the requirements they meet. YRproject takes on the project from the client. The professional carries it out under a matching agreement, decides how the work is done, and is free to work for others.
Per deliverable an hours estimate is agreed in advance. If it threatens to be exceeded by more than 10%, YRproject reports that in writing before the hours are made, and the client decides.
If the client has a justified complaint about quality, the professional puts it right, within the limits set in the agreement.
6. Invoicing and payment
- YRproject invoices the client monthly, on hours actually worked and approved.
- The invoice shows the professional's rate and YRproject's fee as separate lines. The professional sees the same invoice.
- The client pays within 30 days.
- The professional is paid within 5 working days after YRproject receives the client's payment.
- Accelerated payout is not offered at this stage.
- All amounts exclude VAT.
7. Credit check and suspension
YRproject runs a credit check on every new client before a project starts. If a client's payment is more than 30 days overdue, the project is suspended until it is paid. This limits how many unpaid hours a professional can build up.
8. Non-circumvention
For two years, client and professional do not contract each other outside YRproject for work that came about through YRproject.
9. Admission and registration
There is no generic admission test. Requirements depend on the assignment, and vetting is done by a person against those requirements. Registering obliges a professional to nothing and guarantees no assignment. Professionals are asked to keep their availability current.
10. Postings
Posting texts come from the client. The client decides per posting whether its name is shown, and approves the posting before it goes online.
11. Personal data
CVs and contact details are handled as described in the privacy notice: kept 12 months after last activity, CV deleted at once when an account is deleted, never sold.
12. Law
YRproject B.V. is a Dutch company. The governing law and the competent court are set in the signed agreement; where a client contracts on its own framework agreement, that agreement decides both.
