After an award: the usual order of work
General sequence, not a forecast for any round listed here.
- Offshore wind. Site award → developer's engineering and contracting → fabrication of foundations, cables and turbines → offshore installation → commissioning.
- Grid & HVDC. Framework or platform award → detailed engineering → fabrication of jackets, topsides and cables → transport and installation → commissioning.
- Oil & gas licensing. Licence award → seismic and exploration drilling → appraisal → field development decision → engineering, fabrication and installation, if a discovery is developed.
- CCS & hydrogen. Support or licence award → final investment decision → engineering → construction → commissioning.
